We just did a quick hardware upgrade to the database server, so you may have noticed a 1 or 2 minute outage on your account. The switch was smooth and easy, and the new server is noticeably faster.
Due to an error, a small number of old scheduled reports were emailed out this morning. This problem has been fixed, and we are in the process of contacting the affected users. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Actually, we only had one of our servers down for a few minutes, but still, we’re back. Bam!
One of our front end servers is currently being rebooted. It’ll be back very soon! Sorry for the inconvenience.
SEMRush, the primary data provider for Raven’s Research Assistant, is completing server upgrades this morning. Their website and API are not available during this upgrade. We will post an update when the service is available again.
Update - SEMRush is back up, Research Assistant is working again.
Raven experienced temporary outages of Wordtracker and SEMRush today, which affected the Research Assistant and Wordtracker tools. For Wordtracker it appears to be an unannounced DNS change for their API server, we have contacted them to make sure the change is permanent. We are also working with SEMRush to improve reliability of the Research Assistant.
Update (Wed 1:10am EDT): We are back up and running now. Approximately 4 hours ago, our database servers became unresponsive. We were able to restore the database without having to revert to a backup (which continually maintains a snapshot no more than 4 hours old). There was no loss of data during this outage. We do apologize for the length of downtime, which was more than we expected. We will be continuing to work tonight, tomorrow, and in the days to come to ensure that this does not happen again.
Original status update (Tue 9:00pm EDT): We are currently working to bring our database server back online. We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated here.
The link importer has been updated! You can now also import all of your paid link data into the Link Manager. The only option that isn’t available is the ability to group paid links. Otherwise, have at it!
Our downtime was a little longer than we expected, but we are back up and running on our new server setup! Please let us know if experience any problems by using the bug report button (
) from inside Raven.
If you are still seeing the maintenance page when you log in to Raven, you may need to flush your DNS cache.
